Our Mission and Vision

At Community & Connections Consulting, our vision is to create a world where every child with unique challenges thrives, and every parent feels empowered and supported. We aspire to build a compassionate community that bridges the gap between families and local experts, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Through our dedication and commitment, we envision a future where understanding, acceptance, and tailored support are accessible to all.

We recognize the unique struggles that come with raising neurodivergent children and are committed to helping families access local experts and professionals who specialize in neurodiversity. Our team is passionate about creating a supportive community where parents can share their experiences, gain valuable insights, and find the assistance they need to foster their child's well-being.

At Community & Connections Consulting, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, and every parent deserves the support to help them achieve this. Join us in building a stronger, more connected community for all.

Who are we?

Colleen and Christy, or CnC as we like to call ourselves, discovered we share not only a property line but also a deep connection. United by a love of animals, a commitment to community service, a passion for the outdoors, and careers in financial services, both women were ready to embark on the next chapter of their lives. Motivated by the rising social trends of teenage loneliness, suicidal ideation, and depression, they were driven to make a meaningful difference.

Colleen Benjamin

Colleen, a former MBNA and Bank of America executive, is now enjoying retirement life.

Colleen has two talented and incredibly driven daughters, both graduates of the Avon Grove School District. She is enjoying visits to see her daughters at college, dabbles in testing out new recipes, and more time to work on her pickleball game.

Colleen currently lives in Avondale with her husband, Chip, a business development executive with an environmental solutions company.

Christy Conley Ruggieri

Christy, a former JPMC, Fintech, and TD Bank executive left the corporate world to better support her family with their journey of neurodiversity.

Chronically curious, Christy is an avid gardener, birder, community volunteer, and is now the Head of Marketing for the Avon Grove Education Foundation. She founded Grit & Grow Academy LLC early 2024 and is working on her certification for coaching school age kids. Christy has experience with ADHD, ODD, DMDD, OCD, SPD, High-functioning Autism, Dyslexia, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), Asperger's Syndrome, Tourette's tics, and Pharmacogenetics.

Christy lives in Avondale, PA with her husband Richard, their puppy Charli, tabby Abbey, and her two clever and musical sons.
